Flore Garcin-Marrou is Lecturer in Theater in the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France). She holds a PhD in French Literature from the Sorbonne, with degrees in Philosophy (Paris Sorbonne) and Theater Studies (Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle).
Her PhD dissertation, entitled “Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, between theatre and philosophy”, supervised by Pr. Denis Guénoun (2011), attempt to restore to theatre its place among the other arts and to study unpublished plays which Félix Guattari himself wrote between 1980 and 1990. Her current research focuses on the relation between contemporary philosophy and contemporary theater. She is the co-fonder of the Labo LAPS, which specialises in Philosophy of the stage (http://labo-laps.com/) and the co-organizer of the International Conference « Theatre, Performance, Philosophy » in 2014 (Sorbonne University http://tpp2014.com/en-us/ ). She’s a member of the Performance philosophy research network.
